Part 1: Sketching, Contour Lines and Shading

This video shows you the first few steps to drawing your cup. The first step is sketching. This step is fast, it is where you try to get the proportion, shape and size all accurate (not perfect, but accurate). The second step is using contour lines to make the cup shape more accurate. The third step shown in this video is shading, where you shade with the shape of the object.

Part 2: Shading

This is the next step in the cup drawing where we use different shading techniques to not only make the cup look round, but also show the cup in a space. Notice the layers of shading that gradually build the value we are looking for. Then you'll notice the blending techniques that smooth the lines to create a more realistic look.
