At Art From Awareness, my mission is to provide meaningful artistic experiences to kids of all ages. For over 5 years, I have been creating art projects in collaboration with children of a variety of ages in the Mequon-Thiensville community. I've worked in all different types of media, including pastels, charcoal, graphite, pen & ink, oil, acrylic, fibers, wood, metal, plaster, graphic design, and many others.
Over the years I have developed a passion for interacting with children and relaying to them my understanding of drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and more. But it is seeing the joy of children discovering for themselves what is beautiful and important to them through making art that I enjoy the most. Whether in one-on-one or group lessons taught in your own home, or in one of my informative, fun-filled public classes, I hope that each child learns to look inside themselves, where creativity flows.
To me, the true meaning of education is to bring forth from within a child's own mind the understanding that is always there, needing only the proper Spirit for it to come alive.
